Travis Noddings | Community Engagement Coordinator

TJ Noddings (any pronouns) is a housing justice organizer, and one of CAT’s Community Engagement Coordinators. TJ began organizing after supporting a friend through their first eviction hearing and witnessing the stark exploitation, trauma, violence, disregard, and lack of support that tenants faced in our most dire moments of need. Soon after, they began developing tenant unions with friends and other organizers to build tenant power and raise class consciousness.

TJ has since worked as a housing case manager serving HIV+ houseless residents throughout Multnomah County, and an Eviction Defense Paralegal aiding unrepresented tenants going through the eviction process in the same court that started their journey.

At CAT they work with tenants to develop leadership, provide education, form revolutionary tenant unions, and take direct action to address housing injustice.
